The transparency agenda and the orthopaedic data revolution
The data revolution is well underway in orthopaedic and trauma surgery and there is an imperative for all orthopaedic surgeons to engage and help define the culture surrounding the collection and use of data. Following on from the publication of surgeon level data in the UK as part of the transparency agenda, it was thought timely to detail some of the data sets that are currently available, including the National Joint Registry.
