Drawing on our findings from the MCAHE research, in 2020 and 2022 the MCAHE Team made two successful applications to the AHRC Follow On Funding for Impact and Engagement Scheme. This has supported the delivery of two new projects: ‘On-site/Off-site’ a one-year project (to be delivered in 2023) which aims to exploit digital space as a venue for the presentation and re-presentation of artworks created in response to the contemporary legacy of Thomas Bewick at National Trust Cherryburn; and ‘Volunteer Voices’ (2021) a pilot training programme to develop volunteer capacity within the contemporary art in heritage sector.
