Lecture: Food and Identity in an Age of Vikings, by Dr Steve Ashby (University of York).
Dr Ashby will be introducing a new project that uses together archaeological science in order to understand the ways that material culture was used in cooking, eating and drinking. The idea is to see whether we can identify variation in culinary practice that may be related to different identity groups.
The event is organized by the Archaeology Society.
