Alessandro Atzeni: Nuragic Warriors from prehistoric Sardinia: an osteological and experimental analysis
In this presentation we explain the results of a study started for a degree thesis in human osteo-anthropology, explaining the correlation between usage of weapons and the cut markings procured. through a complementary approach to the study of prehistoric warfare, this study makes use of both experimental archaeology, reenactment, historical reconstruction, and historical fencing linking the usage of weapons to the interpretation of the society that has used it. The study is based on Sardinian Early Iron Age iconography.
