Computational Analysis
We have computational analysis capabilities to complement our experimental research. We operate several servers internally and also access High Performance Computing through Newcastle University’s membership of the N8 HPC cluster. We currently use several CFD packages including Star-CCM, OpenFoam, ShipFlow, Fluent and ABAQUS (coupled fluid-structure interaction). We commonly use many other hydrodynamic and naval architecture packages including Maxsurf, AVEVA, OrcaFlex, SESAM, Rhino and MAESTRO.
