Dr Elizabeth Kendon is a climate scientist working within the Understanding Climate Change group at the Met Office Hadley Centre. Her work focusses on understanding extreme rainfall processes and the reliability of future projected changes in local precipitation extremes.
A key aspect of her work currently is carrying out climate simulations at convection-permitting scales to gain an understanding of deficiencies in the representation of convective extremes in coarser resolution climate models.
