The founding partners of InTEGReL; Newcastle University, Northern Gas Networks and Northern Powergrid signed a MoU in 2017 governing the purpose, principles of collaboration, confidentiality, project governance and access rights. In addition, Siemens and Northumbrian Water are core partners on the project.

Further collaborative and innovative companies will have access to the facilities through a tiered membership structure and through fair commercial terms if not a member.
