Research Assistant, Population Health Science Institute

Debbie is a Research Assistant and PhD student in the Population Health Sciences Institute.  She has an interest in the needs of children and families impacted by adverse childhood experiences such an parental mental illness and substance use. She has a particular interest in the needs of young carers as well as interventions that provide support to mitigate the negative impact of providing care on children – this is the focus of her PhD by published works.  She has 13 years practitioner experience in delivering and managing support services in the voluntary sector for young carers.
