There is not enough information available to us at the moment to say if any one dialysis method is better than the others for small babies (under 8 kilograms). This clinical investigation is looking to collect information about the different methods to make a comparison. It is important to compare them without any bias before we can say what should be used in the future.

Most of the information we need is already routinely collected by the hospital. We will collect some extra information as well as do some measurements of the waste dialysis fluid. This will tell us how well the dialysis has worked for the baby.
