Our skin immunology research, led by Professor Muzlifah Haniffa, is aimed at defining the functional diversity of human dendritic cell populations. Key aims are to understand the functional specialisations of human dendritic cell subsets, define the development of human skin dendritic cells from blood precursors and develop strategies through which to harness dendritic cell function for clinical therapy.
