Dr Anil Namdeo, Prof Margaret Bell, Paul Goodman: Visited China (Peking University in Beijing) Workshop 7-13th Oct 2012 on Theme 8.
Professor Tony Roskilly visited China (Xiamen University) and Beijing University between 26th October to 3rd November 2012.
Dr Barbara Sturm attended a conference on Drying and had talks with representatives of Xiamen University about potential collaborations in the fields of bio energy, industrial energy and water efficiency in the food sector, building efficiency and management.
Chinese University Staff:
Beijing University - (Prof. Pengjun Zhao) visiting Newcastle University 15th October to 10th December for Themes 8 & 10.
Dr Peng Lin from the China Ship Development and Design Center in Shanghai had planned to visit Newcastle University 21st - 30th October 2012 to discuss Theme 4 but couldn't due to other commitments.
Dalian University of Technology (Prof. Wang & Dr Peng) & China Institute of Water Resources & Hydropower (Dr Zhang) visited Newcastle University between 15-25th October 2012 to discuss Theme 12.
