In his talk, Profanation and the Unmonumental, William Horner will introduce and discuss the ideas of profanation and the unmonumental as aesthetic tendencies within contemporary art practice. He will refer to the recent show titled ‘Unmonumental’ at New York’s New Museum, and to Giorgio Agamben’s new book called ‘Profanations’.
William Horner is an artist based in London. His latest exhibition was at The Russian Club Gallery in London where he showed with the artist John Stezaker. Having finished his PhD at the Royal College of Art he has taught at Camberwell College of Art and at the RCA.
