Barry Schwabsky is an American art critic and poet living in London. He writes regularly for The Nation and for Artforum, where he is also co-editor of international reviews.
His books include The Widening Circle: Consequences of Modernism in Contemporary Art (Cambridge University Press) and Vitamin P: New Perspectives in Painting (Phaidon Press) and he has contributed to books and catalogues on such artists as Henri Matisse, Alighiero Boetti, Jessica Stockholder, and Gillian Wearing.
