Jayne is an artist and the Lipman Artist in Residence Fellow. The Norma Lipman Bequest supports the development of Ceramic Sculpture at Newcastle university
From a background in art jewellery Jayne’s recently completed practice-centred research explored the potential of integrating digital technologies with jewellery. Her methodology was to explore intimate spaces created by relationships and personal experience from which she made digital jewellery in response. Since 2006 she has been making new pieces in collaboration with Culture Lab Newcastle and as a researcher in Fine Art she is exploring the potential to combine digital jewellery with ceramics.
