Chris Olley is currently director of the secondary maths PGCE (Initial Teacher Education) course at King’s College London. He divides his time between working at King’s and running a maths education publisher and consultancy called the maths zone.
Chris has worked in teacher education at Goldsmith’s in London and Kabale in Uganda. He has taught in secondary schools and managed a maths department in a number of schools in London, and in Iringa, Tanzania. He is the author of a successful (four editions) series of secondary school text books for Ugandan schools and has published materials and papers for a wide range of organisations.
Chris worked with Texas Instruments throughout the 2000s as trainer and resources developer from the TI-83 through the launch of TI-nspire and has experience of working with TI-navigator. He jumped ship in 2010 to work with Hewlett Packard as their lead education advisor helping developing materials for the HP39gII and particularly for the new HP Prime.
