Originally from Indonesia, I did the higher education in France, where I got engineer degree and Ph.D. in physics, material science and structure. My working experience comprises a researcher position in Material Science Research Center in Jakarta, Indonesia.
In the last nine years I have been living in Trondheim, Norway, where I got my teaching qualification from NTNU. In Norway I have subsequently worked as high school teacher in mathematics and physics, and as associate professor in mathematics education.
Since August 2012 I have a permanent position as associate professor in science education at NTNU. In my present work, I am involved in EU-projects PRIMAS (Promoting Inquiry in Mathematics and Science) and MaSciL project (Mathematics and Science for Life) within the FP7- science for society -framework. Implementation and dissemination of IBL approach in teaching physics at elementary school is my current focus of work. Assessment is one important aspect I am also much interested in.
