Anne Liddon is Science Communications Manager at the Centre for Rural Economy, Newcastle University. She carries out this role for CRE and the School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development as well as editing and overseeing production of the Living With Environmental Change partnership’s Policy and Practice Note Series.
She has published in agriculture, archaeology, health and psychology journals and a range of trade magazines, from the RICS Land Journal to Veterinary Record and Farmers’ Weekly, has written restaurant reviews for The Independent and had short stories published and broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
From 2007-2013 she was Science Communications Manager for the UK Research Council’s £25m Rural Economy and Land Use Programme, leading communications strategy and planning across publications and media relations. Before moving into academia she worked for many years in communications roles within the NHS and has been Communications Manager for a large mental health NHS trust.
