Maps

You can place a Google map into the top banner of your 'Contact' page simply by using the postcode.

Alternatively you can place a Google map directly into a page:

  • Go to the google map website
  • Click on the cog wheel icon (bottom right) and select Share and Embed Map, then select Embed Map
  • A popup window will appear with some embed code in that looks something like this:

<iframe src="https://www.google.com/maps/embed?pb=!1m5!3m3!1m2!1s0x487e70cdd52e6183%3A0xc145eb01850cc77d!2sNewcastle+University!5e0!3m2!1sen!2s!4v1390319056933" width="600" height="450" frameborder="0" style="border:0"></iframe>

  • Select the code and copy using "Control+C"
  • Return to your All Purpose Content, and click on the HTML button (second row of formatting buttons, sixth from the right).
  • A popup window will appear with the HTML code for the page you're working on.
  • Paste the code into that window using "Control+V"

Information on embedding twitter, maps, audio, video and other media files can be found on our T4 support blog.
