  • Mr. Rajgor is the founder and lead of the ERNEST Collaborative and drives key research and audit projects aimed at advancing ENT care in the region.

Mr. Amar Rajgor is currently a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Doctoral Fellow in Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Surgery, training to become an ENT consultant. He has secured substantial funding from the NIHR to research the application of artificial intelligence in head and neck cancer, with a specific focus on the emerging field of radiomics and its application to laryngeal cancer. As part of his work, Mr. Rajgor is leading the formation of a radiomics research group in the North East, collaborating with academics from Newcastle University's School of Computing and Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust.

To date, Mr. Rajgor has won over 9 national prizes, presented his research internationally, and secured three competitive research grants. His contributions to medical research have been recognized by numerous accolades, including his recent inclusion in the 2025 NPH Ethnic Minority Powerlist, where he was awarded in two categories: Thought Leader and Digital & Technology. This recognition highlights his impactful work in both healthcare innovation and the ethnic minority community. Mr. Rajgor has also supported his field of research by co-authoring in the new edition of Scott-Brown’s Otorhinolaryngology, further establishing his expertise and contributions to the discipline.
