We are excited to announce the launch of the BATMAN Study, which will investigate the role of booster vaccines and antibody responses in preventing recurrent acute otitis media (rAOM) in children. This study aims to audit the screening rates for pneumococcal and Hib responses in children with rAOM across multiple hospitals in the North East. The data collected will provide valuable baseline information regarding current practices and the impact of booster vaccines on preventing further episodes of rAOM.

Proposed Timeline:

  • Proposal release: 13th January 2025
  • Registration period: 27th January 2025
