Dr Rishad Ahmed

Rishad received the B.Sc. degree from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2011, and the M.Sc. degree (with Distinction) and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K., in 2013 and 2017, respectively. Prior to joining University of Nottingham as an Assistant Professor, he worked as a design engineer at Dynex Semiconductor, U.K for 2.5 years. His research interests include wideband-gap semiconductor devices, passive components, converter packaging and high-frequency converters. Currently, he is involved in projects related to the design of novel integrated electric vehicle powertrain converters, converters for electric vehicle battery management system, automotive and aircraft integrated motor drives, resonant converters for smart grid applications, modular multilevel converter, and high-voltage power supplies.
