The CDT Management Team and students recently attended our annual Town Hall Meeting to reflect on progress made in 2025 and to discuss priorities for the year ahead. The session was highly productive, featuring forward-looking discussions that will help guide the CDT’s activities in 2026.

Following the meeting, attendees enjoyed a social event in Newcastle. The gathering provided a valuable opportunity to connect informally, strengthen collaborations, and celebrate the achievements of the past year.

Our EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Sustainable Electric Propulsion students enjoyed a stimulating visit to Dynex Semiconductor Ltd - including hands on training activities, discussion and a facility tour. It was a wonderful opportunity to find out more about semiconductor module design and production - and team building over excellent food.

For the first time ever, the Centre for Power Electronics Conference was held at Newcastle.  We hosted Professor Rik De Doncker from University of Aachen who provided a keynote presentation at the conference.
