Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) is an essential part of NIHR research, as research that reflects the needs and views of the public is more likely to produce results that can be used to improve health and social care.
In this study there are two PPI representatives on the Programme Management Group and one PPI representative on the Trial Steering Committee. There has also been PPI involvement in the design of study materials.
