Day Center, Ojdula

Ojdula is a village located in Transylvania at the western foot of the Vrancea Mountains.  There are 20 students and two teachers taking part in SOLE approximately three times a week.  Two types of SOLE take place – the classic SOLE for older children   organize creative workshops which includes Art & SOLE.  Laptops are used and there is good internet access.  The topics used are those that relate to their everyday life and the aim is to help children to develop their talking and presenting skills and to help them be more expressive and open to the world.   A large number of children are from the Roma community and they miss out on school when their families travel abroad to find work.  A main goal of the centre, therefore, is to minimise the impact of this disruption and help these children catch up with their peers.
