About Pocahontas and Me

What’s on her mind here? The image of the artist in process, thinking about making a new performance, attempting a self-portrait.  Looking for autobiography and finding instead early memories of the legend of Pocahontas and trying to learn the first three pages of Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness. In some senses, this is a splinter piece that takes an image from a previous work, On Lying, and attempts to expand that, or perhaps reduce it, or try to find the essence, the story, what’s going on, what connections seem to matter most...

This will be a one-to-one performance encounter - a short work for the audience but a long work for the performer. A live performance designed to be experienced by one audience member at a time.

Fiona Wright will be performing on 14th November only! Only very limited numbers!
