Robyn Taylor is a member of the Advanced Man-Machine Interface Laboratory at the University of Alberta, Canada. Her research and creative interests combine her two great loves: music and technology. Robyn became involved in multimedia performance after years of studying and working as a traditional vocalist. Her multimedia projects combine responsive video, participant collaboration, and live singing. Robyn has performed and presented her music visualization research throughout Europe and North America. Her work has been supported by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Alberta Ingenuity, and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. Robyn is pleased to be collaborating with Patrick Olivier at Culture Lab Newcastle to create multimedia works exploring participatory creative art.
