Mike McHugh
Salford born Mike McHugh is an artist and curator. His work is time based and merges aspects of live art, psychogeography, heritage, photography. His varied practice has included walks, coach tours and independently curated exhibitions. Most notably the 2004 exhibition Washington New Town 1964-2004, a series of events and exhibitions that critically examined the construction and development of the North East New Town 40 years after its designation.
Mike studied Photography as both an undergraduate and post graduate. He has lived in Newcastle for over ten years and works for Tyne and Wear Museums at the Discovery Museum.
