Jamie Shovlin

Jamie Shovlin is an acclaimed contemporary visual artist with a growing reputation for innovative and unique work, rapidly being recognised by a range of national and international institutions as well as a host of critics and writers. He graduated with an MA in painting from the Royal College of Art in 2003.

He recently exhibited in Becks Futures 2006 at the ICA, London, CCA, Glasgow and Bristol. Over the last three years he has established a national and international reputation, undertaking solo exhibitions in London (Tate Britain, 2006; Riflemaker, 2004) and Lithuania (Ibid Projects, 2004). He has been represented in major group exhibitions including Inside Out - Investigating Drawing (Milton Keynes Gallery, 2003), Bloomberg New Contemporaries (Cornerhouse Manchester) and This much is certain (Royal College of Art Galleries, 2004). Forthcoming exhibitions include: Lustfaust: A Folk Anthology at Volume, New York. The series of work Naomi V. Jelish (2004) was recently purchased for the Saatchi Collection and included in the group exhibition Galleon & Other Stories at the Saatchi Gallery.
