Graeme Wilson is a saxophonist, composer and psychology researcher now working in Newcastle University. He has been a leading member of Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra in their recordings, international performances and collaborations with, among others, Fred Frith, Evan Parker and Barry Guy.His own recent work includes improvising live to Gair Dunlop and Dan Norton’s interactive archive film work The Tomorrows Project at the Commonwealth Film Festival, a debut CD Listen Big (ISIS Records) with Scottish/German improvising saxophone ensemble Rich in Knuckles and a commission for An Tobar Arts Centre, Mull. He has published psychological research on the identities of improvisers.
