Augustin Berque

Augustin Berque is a distinguished scholar, researcher, teacher and author, and Director of Studies at the École des Haûtes Études en Sciences Sociales, Paris. He is internationally respected for his authoritative work which straddles cultural geography, urbanism, architecture, landscape architecture and sustainability. His work is by nature inclusive and opens numerous possibilities for dialogue and debate around key questions confronting current conditions, theories and practices of placemaking, human settlement and the built environment.
Augustin Berque is highly esteemed internationally and has received many awards with 368 publications to his name.
