Dr. Robert House

Dr Robert House completed a MSci degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry) at the University of Cambridge in 2015. He later obtained his PhD in 2020 from the University of Oxford under the supervision of Prof Peter Bruce focused on understanding oxygen redox chemistry in battery cathode materials.

Following this, he worked on developing high energy density cathode materials for Li-ion batteries as a Faraday Institution Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the CATMAT project and was elected a Junior Research Fellow at Linacre College. In 2021, he was awarded a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship at the University of Oxford.

His research is focused on understanding and developing new battery materials with the aid of spectroscopy (XAS, EXAFS and RIXS) and diffraction (XRD, ND and PDF).
