Dr. María Ángeles Laguna-Marco

After finishing her PhD at the University of Zaragoza in 2007, Maria Angeles spent two years (2007-2009) as postdoctoral researcher at the Advanced Photon Source (APS, ANL) and three years (2010-2012) at the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid (ICMM-CSIC).

Since January 2013, she has worked at the at the Instituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón, INMA (CSIC-Univ. de Zaragoza). Currently she is a tenured Scientist of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

Much of Maria Angeles' research activity has focused on the study of new magnetic materials, mainly by application of XAS and XMCD synchrotron radiation techniques. Within this area, her current research is devoted to the study of iridate systems for spintronic applications.
