I'm Shreya 'Rey' Dube (they/them) and I am a current Visiting Researcher at Newcastle University with the Club Research Group in the Faculty of Geography, Politics and Sociology. My current role is as the lead quantitative analyst in the Newcastle Night Time Economies (NCL-NTE) project and also assisting in the mixed methods quantitative and qualitative analysis of the Chemsex in Newcastle (CiN) project.
Prior to this, I completed a MRes in Neuroscience at the University of St. Andrews and BSc Joint Honours in Biology and Psychology (with Professional Placement) at Newcastle University where my research interests were in the neuroendocrine and behavioural effects of early life nutritional stress but also the effects of early life dietary protein augmentation.
Though club research seems a far cry from neuroscience and psychology, it is the proud Geordie, People's Kitchen welfare officer and former drag king within me that bring my personal flair to this research group!
