I have been researching and writing about illicit drug use for 25 years. My research explores drug prevalence, use patterns, emerging trends, meanings, motivations and consequences of drug use (including alcohol, illegal drugs, NPS, and illicit medications). My focus is on illicit drug use in recreational settings, including raves, nightclubs, festivals and afterparties. I have single/co-authored 50+ articles and books on various issues around drugs, youth cultures, and also gender and technologies.
