Charlie Roberts (he/him)

Charlie Roberts (he/him) is a Postgraduate Researcher in Media and Cultural Studies at Newcastle University. He holds a BA in Media, Communication, and Cultural Studies (2023), MA in Media, Society and Cultural Studies (Research) (2024), and PG Certificate in Research Training (2025). His MA and PhD are funded by the ESRC NINE DTP 1+3 studentship. Charlie’s research focuses on the interplay between the economic, technological, and pornographic processes of content creation on the OnlyFans platform. His research interests include sexuality, gender (with a focus on masculinity), digital platforms, and pornography. Charlie is also a Teaching Assistant at Newcastle University in the School of Arts and Cultures and the School of Geography, Politics, and Sociology.
