Presented at STAST'2019: Statistical Reporting Fidelity in User Studies

We presented our work on statistical reporting fidelity at STAST'2019. This work investigates to what extent statistical inferences are reported completely, and if so, to what extent their computations are correct. We found that about half the papers in our sample reported statistics incompletely, such that the results could not be validated. In a number of papers with complete entries, we found that a recomputation of the p-values revealed a number of computation and decision errors.
