Blyth Harbour Negative 27968C

Turner Photography Ltd. Camera House, Pink Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne. Negative No. 27968C Photograph of Blyth Harbour, Blyth, Northumberland. Undated.

This undated aerial photograph of Blyth Harbour looks northwards towards the Battleship Wharf on the eastern side of the port. The Port of Blyth now uses the wharf as its main terminal for its licensed decommissioning facility as well as handling bulk cargo (e.g. coal, aggregates and cement). Note the Blyth Power Station, also known as Cambois Power Station, in the top left corner; it dominated the Blyth and Northumberland skyline before its demolition (completed in 2003).
