Rebecca Renji Chungath is an intercalating medical student and undertook a research Master’s degree project with the AGE Research Group until July 2022. During a summer research scholarship, Rebecca worked with the team to analyse the relationship between 31P MRS measured mitochondrial function and physical performance in older people with functional impairment. Her project looked to understand the impact of dietary nitrate supplementation on sarcopenia.
