  • Freya's PhD is a mixed methods study investigating inequalities in hospital care for people with multiple long-term conditions

Freya completed BA Sociology and MA Social Research at the University of York before joining the North East England Chamber of Commerce's policy team, where her work researching health disparities in the region led to an interest in tackling health inequalities. Now a PhD Student with the AGE Research Group, Freya's project is a mixed methods study investigating inequalities in hospital care for people with multiple long-term conditions and includes qualitative one-to-one interviews, scoping review and quantitative analysis of hospital records. This work is funded by the Dunhill Medical Trust and Newcastle University, which is aligned with ADMISSION Research Collaborative. Freya's supervisors are Profs Rachel Cooper, Miles Witham, Thomas Scharf and Dr Sue Bellass.
