Dr Richard Dodds

Richard is an Intermediate Clinical Fellow supported by the NIHR Newcastle BRC, and an Honorary Consultant at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Before joining the AGE Research Group full-time in 2018, he combined specialty training in Geriatric Medicine and research, including a PhD as a Wellcome Trust Research Training Fellow. His main research area is the life course approach to sarcopenia, including the mechanisms involved in the loss of muscle strength and mass in mid-life and old age.
