Holly Syddall

Holly joined the AGE Research Group in September 2024. Holly has extensive research experience, gained from working as an applied medical statistician and lifecourse epidemiologist at the MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Unit, University of Southampton. For more than twenty years, Holly was the lead statistician for the internationally renowned Hertfordshire Cohort Study (HCS) of lifecourse influences on healthy ageing. Holly’s PhD demonstrated social inequalities in markers of muscle strength and physical performance among the community dwelling older men and women who participated in HCS, but not in markers of bone health. Holly has also worked as a Senior Research Advisor for the NIHR Research Support Service.
