Dr Grace Lewis

Grace Lewis is an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Older People’s Medicine and joined the AGE Research Group in September 2023.  She divides her time equally between clinical training in hospitals across the North East and working with the AGE Research Group.  Her research interests are the epidemiology and experience of frailty and multiple long-term conditions.  Supported by a British Geriatrics Society start-up grant and a Teaching and Research Fellow position at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Grace successfully completed her PhD in 2020, examining the impact of frailty on older people living in rural Tanzania. She looks forward to building on this experience of mixed-methods global health research to deliver new insights and research benefits for older people across the North East.
