Dr Christopher Hurst

Chris joined the AGE Research Group in August 2018 following a year spent as a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Durham University. His background is as a sport and exercise scientist and the early part of his career concentrated on sports performance before he began to focus on work involving older adults during his PhD. His research interests primarily relate to the influence of lifestyle factors (e.g. physical activity, exercise, diet) on health outcomes, in particular muscle health and physical performance, in older age
