Personalised Care Institute Annual Conference

Professor Miles Witham presented work from the ADMISSION Research Collaborative as part of the recent Personalised Care Institute Annual Conference on 26^th September 2024. This one-day virtual conference focussed on a personalised care approach for people living with multiple long-term conditions (MLTC), and Professor Witham showcased research from the ADMISSION collaborative on understanding pathways of care for people with MLTC admitted to hospital, the limitations of current treatment guidelines for single conditions, quality of stay for people admitted to hospital with MLTC, and ways that we might be able to redesign how clinical teams work together in hospitals.

A lively and engaged audience attended, comprising a mix of patients, clinicians and researchers from a broad range of disciplines. The event provided an excellent opportunity to hear different perspectives, but also for ADMISSION to contribute to the debate on how we reconfigure health and social care systems to put patients with MLTC at the heart of care and make the system work to provide truly personalised care.
