New Publication- Ageing Research Translation: a new era for UK Geroscience

Members of the AGE Research Group, Prof Miles Witham, Prof Rachel Cooper, and Prof Avan Sayer along with their colleagues from the UKRI-funded ART of Healthy Ageing Network, have published a correspondence piece in Nature Aging. This highlights what exciting times these are for ageing research with a number of new networks recently launched that aim to bring together knowledge across disciplines and promote an integrated approach to ageing research.

Prof Miles Witham comments “It is heartening to see UKRI funding these interdisciplinary networks focused on ageing across the life course. Our ART of Healthy Ageing network provides a fantastic opportunity to enable the ageing research community to translate advances in the biology and epidemiology of ageing to positive impacts on healthspan, and we look forward to working closely with the other funded networks to achieve this.”

The ART of Healthy Ageing Network will play an important role in bringing together people, knowledge, resources and infrastructure with a focus on effective translation of ageing research into patient and public benefit.
