The final ACTION2012: Social Renewal Lab, Lab 5 brought all of the training and development of ideas together to plan the showcase event. Participants had a mock-up stand which they could use to plan their best impact and engagement ahead of the 8th November 2012 showcase. We focussed on engaging an audience and gave the opportunity to participants to practice their pitches, which they will make to our panel of judges on the day of the showcase.
We ended the Labs with a reflective activity to reconsider the impact of the programme upon the individuals as researchers. Participants have written postcards to themselves describing their perfect showcase, and the ACTION 2012 team will send these to the students a few days before the showcase to give them a final motivational push.
