Since completing my Geography BSc I have been an RA with the Centre for Land Use and Water Resources Research for 5 years on issues of sustainable development, primarily in developing countries. I am on the verge of submitting my thesis: “including socio-economics in planning for sustainable bioenergy in developing countries” which has come out of the Re-Impact project (forest-based bioenergy for sustainable development) on which I worked for 4 years. For work I have travelled extensively in Africa, Asia and Europe, and enjoyed working with multinational, multidisciplinary colleagues. I enjoy working at the interface between social and ecological systems.
