Charlotte is a postgraduate research student doing a 4-year Engineering Doctorate in Biopharmaceutical Process Development. Working with GlaxoSmithKline, her research is looking into methods for measuring oxidation.
Charlotte obtained her Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The University of Nottingham and subsequently joined the fundraising department of a national charity. Her desire to follow a scientific career motivated her to re-enter higher education in 2009, when she joined Newcastle University.
She has previously taken part in the BiotechnologyYES scheme and wants to gain more experience of being innovative and finding solutions to real problems, hence entering into the ACTION 2011 challenge.
