Professor Daniel Faulkner
Daniel is Professor of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Liverpool. His research interests centre on experimental rock deformation and fluid flow, the physical properties of fault zones and the mechanics of earthquakes. He is funded by NERC to research how earthquake ruptures propogate through clay-rich fault zones. He is also delivering research as part of the NERC-ESRC funded Unconventional Hydrocarbons in the UK Energy System Programme.
