The NECTE2 corpus comprises dyadic sociolinguistic interviews of Tyneside English speakers conducted between November 2007 and April 2008. The project is intended as a follow-up to the NECTE corpus, which amalgamates two pre-existing corpora: the Tyneside Linguistic Survey (TLS) project, with interviews conducted in the late 1960s and early 1970s; and the Phonological Variation and Change in Contemporary Spoken English (PVC) project, with interviews conducted between 1991 and 1994. (Full details of these corpora are available on the NECTE website).
